Because who wants a sleeping bag on the ground when you can have a king-size bed?

It's called "glamping." Basically, it's glamorous camping. And come this fall, you can do it in Northern Michigan.

Bella Solviva, the state's first "glampground," is set to open this September near Torch Lake. Glamping originated in Europe about a decade ago, but hasn't really hit the Midwest...until now.

It will feature 230 campsites, including safari tents, tree houses, vintage RVs, yachts, and cabins. You can even rent an airliner suite, complete with a flight simulator, for around $1,000 a night. If that's not really your thing, regular tent sites will start at $67 per night.

Bella Solviva will, hopefully, be ready to open in September. They expect to start taking reservations as early as August.

Personally, I did a lot of camping growing up. For a while, I was sick of it and wanted to stay in a hotel. Now that I'm older, I do enjoy getting outdoors...but I also enjoy a shower. I don't think I'd go as far as the airliner suite (and who could afford to?), but a basic "glamping" tent might be interesting!
