The troopers frequently stop to shoot hoops with the kids, and now they have new equipment to do so.

Law enforcement officers are playing defense right now...literally. All across the country, they're trying to show people that they are dedicated to their communities. And the Michigan State Police are no different.

They've partnered with a Florida-based group called to purchase the equipment, which included a new basketball hoop and some basketballs. The officers frequently stop to play ball with the kids on Ballenger Hwy in Flint, and over the weekend, they donated the new equipment.

And, of course, they played ball with the kids after donating.
