Jack Lessenberry, who has served as a political analyst for the Michigan Radio Network, a reporter for the Metro Times, and head of the Journalism Department of Wayne State University, is stepping away from his roles amid accusations of sexual misconduct.

Lessenberry has also contributed to other publications in Detroit, Traverse City, and Toledo. Two of Lessenberry's former students at Wayne State University outlined the misconduct in detail in a report published by Deadline Detroit.

About a half dozen women who are former students or colleagues have come forward with complaints. Deadline Detroit notes that Lessenberry's nickname 'Letchenberry' has become well-known throughout WSU.

According to Crain's Detroit Business, the radio station announced this week that Lessenberry's duties will end immediately, but he will remain under contract until the end of July.

In the video below, a Detroit TV station attempted to speak with Lessenberry about the allegations, but he had no comment.
