Michigan Police Intern with Autism Solves a Crime – The Good News [VIDEO]
The Harper Woods detectives say that he finishes every task he's given.
Jeff Powell has autism, but he's wanted to be a police officer since he was 8-years-old. His mom told him to keep his dreams "realistic," because special needs can sometimes stand in the way of that. 15 years later, Jeff is riding along with Harper Woods police officers as an intern.
He was on a ride-along when he pointed out a man carrying some packages that looked like a guy that the police were looking for. The man took off and hid in a shed - they arrested him, and he's now facing charges for stealing from peoples' porches.
The detectives say that he's one of their favorite "brothers" on the force. Is somebody cutting onions in here? *sniffle*
