Michigan Police Officer Skips Ticket, Buys Car Seat for Mom
Not enough feel-good stories about law enforcement in the news lately, so let's put some out there!Officer Ben Hall was patrolling his area of Emmett Township when he pulled over a woman for a traffic violation. When he approached the car, he noticed that the woman had her daughter buckled in, but not in a car seat. Instead of giving her a ticket, he instructed her to follow him to a local Walmart, where he purchased a car seat for her. He said that ticketing her wouldn't solve the problem, and that it was the best $50 he ever spent.
Bravo, Officer Hall!
