A Michigan radio news reporter from Detroit gets the credit for saving an elderly woman who had wandered away from home in sub-freezing temperatures.

Mike Campbell, who reports for Detroit radio staton WWJ was covering Barbara Kasler's disappearance when he spotted the 89-year old in her pajamas and slippers wandering in Shelby Township. Kasler, who suffers from dementia, had wandered away from her home around 2:30 this morning.

Campbell took the woman into his car and turned up the heat until police arrived. She was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.

The reporter says he was simply in the right place at the right time.

The Shelby Township Police Department tweeted at Campbell, "We owe you lunch."
