Michigan Man Warns Others After Losing Thousands Buying Monkey Online [VIDEO]

There's a sucker born every minute, and this one lives in Wyoming Michigan. Don Abrego has lost between $4,500 and $5,000 trying to buy a monkey online.

Abrego tells Fox 17 he wanted a capuchin monkey, and supposedly found one for sale in Hawaii.

"I needed a monkey. I needed to be different," Abrego said.

He says the problems began nearly as soon as his $400 deposit cleared. Abrego wound up sending the supposed seller about 20 gift cards and payments even after multiple warned him that he was being swindled.

Here's the best part. The shipper sent Abrego a picture of a photo ID, which turned out to be identical to the fake ID used by McLovin' in the movie 'Superbad.'

Seriously, dude. Get a dog or a cat, like a normal person.
