A Michigan school librarian has filed a lawsuit against a parent, who she claims has targeted her for years. The librarian says the situation escalated over time, culminating in February when the parent posted a video of her online that quickly gained national attention.

The Years-Long Feud That Sparked a Lawsuit

Christine Beachler, the Library Media Director for Lowell Area Schools, claims she has been the target of a single parent who has posted false allegations about her online, along with personal attacks against her and other staff members.

Stefanie Boone, a self-described parental rights advocate, is the parent behind the social media posts. For years, Boone has claimed that Beachler is responsible for stocking the school library with books containing LGBTQ+ topics that she describes as "pornographic."

Beachler told WZZM-TV that Boone has labeled her as a "pedophile" and a "groomer" in some of her online posts.

The Video That Went Viral

In February, Boone posted a video of herself confronting Beachler, asking her to direct her to the school's "porn section."

“When that video came out, it went viral,” Beachler said. “There were over a million people seeing it.”

Beachler says the video eventually led to threats against her life.

What the Lawsuit Alleges

Earlier this week, Beachler filed a civil lawsuit in 17th Circuit Court. She's seeking damages and the removal of all posts referencing her.

The lawsuit details years of alleged harassment dating back to 2021 and claims that the video and social media posts have led to harassment when she's out in the community.

Beachler also emphasized to the TV outlet that every book in the school library passes the Miller test, a national legal standard for determining appropriate content.

“There are books that some people may feel are inappropriate for their children, while others believe those same books are perfectly appropriate,” she said.

This stunning mansion in Rochester has actually been owned by two former members of the Detroit Pistons.

Ben Gordon, who played for the team from 2009 to 2012 sold it to Jonas Jerebko in 2016. Jerebko has attempted to sell it a few times over the years with no luck.

It's on the market again, this time for just under $4 million.
