Michigan state legislators are expected today to discuss measures that would help school districts that have run out of snow days.

According to WILX, House Bill 4206 would excuse schools from using their allotted snow days during a state-authorized state of emergency. Many districts in Michigan have used an excessive number of snow days this year.

If approved, the bill would afford schools the opportunity to excuse snow days that occurred from January 28 to February 1 this year.
