Michigan Healthcare Worker With TB May Have Exposed Patients

A possible Tuberculosis exposure is being investigated at several healthcare providers in the Detroit area.

A healthcare worker who was unknowingly sick with TB may have had contact with patients at Lakeview Pediatrics and its Ascension Medical Group locations throughout the Metro Detroit area. Those locations are Macomb Township, Rochester and St. Clair Shores.

The exposure may have taken place between April 1, 2019, and January 9, 2020.

Anyone who may have been exposed will be contacted. Testing for those individuals is strongly recommended.
