McDonald's announced Thursday that its iconic barbecue sandwich will start selling at participating restaurants nationwide this upcoming Monday, November 1, a full month earlier than 2020. The company let the world know back in September that the popular limited edition sandwich would be back on the menu this fall once again.

If you have been living on another planet and have no idea what exactly a McRib is, let me enlighten you. McDonald's describes that sandwich as, "seasoned boneless pork dipped in tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions, crunchy dill pickle chips and served on a toasted homestyle bun."

For 40 years, this limited edition sammy has grown a cult following. People love this thing! It's basically a legend in it's own right.

“In the 80s, the masterminds behind McDonald’s food innovation had a truly unique idea: an undeniably delicious sandwich that could be enjoyed during the colder seasons,” said Mike Bullington, Senior Archives Manager at McDonald’s. “Whether you’re a McRib loyalist or first timer, there is no denying that the McRib is one of the most iconic sandwiches of the last four decades and we have thousands of emails and tweets from fans to prove it.”

So here's where I may loose some friends....I hate it. I mean not literally loath it, but I just don't get the hype, and the taste was...ok...klnda.  I'm just not a fan, and I certainly wouldn't sit in a drive through line to get one. Still, if it's your thing, enjoy....and I won't judge. Promise.
