Man Denied $100k Casino Jackpot Because He Let Friend Push the Button [VIDEO]

A Florida man has lost out on a $100,000 jackpot, because he let his friend push the button on the video poker machine he was playing.

Jan Flato put $50 into the slot machine at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. He had his friend, Marina, push the button for good luck.

It turned out to be bad luck.

Casino officials reviewed the surveillance video, and determined that Flato's friend was the rightful jackpot winner. A statement from the casino reads, in part:

"The person who pushes a slot machine button or pulls the arm is the person who wins the jackpot."

WILX reports that the kerfuffle resulted in Flato's friend claiming the entire jackpot, and that their friendship appears to have ended.
