Local Man Cleans Up Vernon Cemetery Hit by Tornado – The Good News
Lots of clean-up happening in Shiawassee County right now, and one local man is helping where the "residents" can't help themselves.
The National Weather Service confirmed on Friday that not two, not three, but FOUR tornadoes ripped through our listening area on Thursday night. Two of those were in Shiawassee County and the village of Vernon suffered quite a bit of damage.
Zachary Trinkle decided to stop by the local cemetery, where six of his family members are laid to rest, and do some cleaning. Not only did he clean up his family plots, but he picked up branches from the rest of the cemetery. He even placed flowers back on graves.
Thank you, Zachary. Definitely thinking about those who most people wouldn't.
