Big kudos to the entertainment and activity directors at senior centers right now!

The residents at Suncrest medical care facility in Lapeer are on lockdown right now; earlier this week, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended that assisted livings and nursing homes "restrict ALL non-medical and unnecessary visitors to the facility, with the exception of end of life care."

Unfortunately, this means that family and friends cannot visit their loved ones. So, how do you keep people entertained who are quarantined during a pandemic?

SOCIAL DISTANCING BINGO, of course!

The residents at Suncrest enjoyed a game of Bingo from the doors of their rooms yesterday, while staff announced the calls through two-way radios.

Big kudos to the staff and especially Mark Minor, the activities director at Suncrest. We're all in this together.
