Silver Lake Beach in Fenton, Michigan is closed until further notice.

Why is Silver Lake Beach in Fenton closed?

According to a recent social media announcement, the beach is closed due to E. Coli issues. The timing is less than ideal with Labor Day Weekend happening soon.

What other beaches can I enjoy over Labor Day Weekend?

You do not have to travel far from Genesee County, Lapeer County, or Oakland County to enjoy fun in the sun. Who wants to drive two or three-plus hours when we have plenty of spots to swim locally.

Here are a few that come to mind,

  • Seven Lakes State Park in Holly
  • Bluebell Beach in Flint
  • Oxford Beach in Charter Township
  • Zemmer Park in Columbiaville
  • Mantawauka Park and Beach on Lake Fenton

We will update this post when Silver Lake Beach is once again open to the public. To be clear the park area is still open to the public at this time, there is just no swimming allowed at this time.

Silve Lake Park is Fenton's largest park, and offers the follwoing,

  • Pavillion rentals
  • Baseball fields
  • Volleyball courts
  • Horshoe pits
  • Bandminton courts
  • Play area for kids
  • Nature trials
  • Girlls
  • Picnic areas
  • Concession stand

Silve Lake Park is located at 16000 Jennings Road in Fenton, and is open year round.
