Too soon? Perhaps, since it is still September. However, is it really too early to find out what your kid(s) want for Christmas?

If they ask for something you already know won’t be possible, at least you have plenty of time before December 25, 2026, to figure out how to soften the blow.

If it still feels too soon to have your child write a letter to Santa Claus, at least you will be prepared when the time comes, and you will know how to get a response from the North Pole. Here is everything Michigan parents need to know.

Where do I send letters to Santa Claus?

According to the United States Postal Service, there are two options for mailing letters to Santa Claus. If you don't want a reply, letters can be addressed to Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888.

If you would like a response from the big guy, letters should be addressed to North Pole Postmark, Postmaster, 4141 Postmark Drive, Anchorage, AK, 99530-9998.

Parents will need to write Santa’s response and include it with their child’s letter. Follow these steps,

  1. Have your kid(s) write a letter to Santa Claus
  2. Write a response letter and sign it from Santa Claus
  3. Place both letters into an envelope, and address it to the child - don't seal it
  4. Add the return address to the envelope - Santa, North Pole
  5. Make sure you put a first-class stamp on the envelope
  6. Place that envelope inside a larger envelope with the appropriate postage, and mail it to the Anchorage, AK, address listed above.

You can see a step-by-step photo slideshow with the details shared above here. It is recommended that letters be sent between November 23 and December 1, 2026.

Christmas Foods That Are Dangerous for Dogs

Avoid giving dogs Christmas table scraps due to the potential toxicity of certain foods like onions and chocolate, the risk of pancreatitis from high-fat dishes, and the hazards of cooked bones splintering. Seasonings and new foods can cause digestive upset.
