Krave Restaurant Cares – Helping Lapeer County Families In Need

Krave Restaurant in Lapeer has updated its eligibility requirements for free kids’ meals during the government shutdown.

Krave Restaurant first planned to serve free meals to kids in Lapeer, but now the restaurant is expanding its efforts to help families in need across all of Lapeer County.

Owner Tim Ostrom posted the following message on social media on November 1st, 2025;

November is a time a Thanksgiving, appreciation, gratitude, reflection and also a time for us to give back.

I can’t go through this month knowing that there may be kids in Columbiaville, Attica, Lum, Goodland, Almont, Dryden, North Branch or any other area in Lapeer County that maybe hungry. It’s weighed heavy on my mind, so we’re gonna open it up!!!

• All Lapeer County eligible.
• All SNAP, WIC, and furloughed government employees are eligible.
• Please bring proof of SNAP, WIC, or a government employee ID.
• Carry out only. If you wish to dine in, the current promotion, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée, still applies.
• Limited kids' menu.
• One meal per child per day.
