Huntington Bank Is Closing 13 Locations in Michigan
If you bank with Huntington, you might want to check if your branch is on the list.
The bank has announced it's closing 13 Michigan locations over the next few months as part of what it calls a review of its branch network. Huntington says every location that's closing has another branch within about a 10-minute drive, and customers will still be able to use ATMs, online banking, and phone support. Still, this could be a big inconvenience for some people.
Most of the closures are expected to happen by the end of August, although the Traverse City branch will stay open until mid-November.

Why Is Huntington Closing These Branches?
According to WDIV, the closures are part of an ongoing effort to update its branch network. That includes closing some locations while renovating others and opening new branches where they make more sense.
Huntington says it operates more than 280 branches across Michigan and that customers affected by these closures will still have another nearby location. The bank also says it's working to place affected employees into other positions whenever possible.
