You can find some of the strangest things on neighborhood group pages on social media. Between the wild drama, heated debates, and the occasional post from someone trying to annoy everyone, there are moments that truly catch your eye.

Earlier today, someone posted on Facebook that one of the stores in Grand Blanc was closing early, and the reason why caught my attention.

A woman posted on the Grand Blanc Uncensored page that the Dollar Tree on Saginaw Street was closing today at 4 PM due to a lack of employees. The store usually stays open until 10 PM, but they're closing six hours early. While that is strange in itself, the fact that they're closing due to a lack of employees blows me away.

How does a business in downtown Grand Blanc not have enough employees to stay open? It must be tough times for the store, especially since I saw a similar post about it just the other day.

I have no idea what’s actually happening, as I’m getting all my information from residents in the area who posted on social media. Something is going on, and it’s not good.

It's not all that surprising, considering the company announced earlier this year that it would be closing 600 Family Dollar stores nationwide, along with 30 Dollar Tree locations over the next few years at the end of their leases.

It's unclear which local stores, if any, will be closing.
