Two men were shot and killed recently at Fairlane Town Center shopping mall in Dearborn. A third person was injured in the shooting and is reportedly in stable condition.

The incident happened on Friday, July 3rd. According to USA Today, Detroit residents Cameron Watkins, 19, and Keonte Seaborn, 19, died in the shooting.

The two teens who were killed and the third person who was injured are believed to have been involved in the incident. Additional suspect names have not been released at this time.

The Dearborn Police Department has made it clear that this was not a random act of violence. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute between two groups.

It is hard to imagine how terrifying this altercation must have been for shoppers who were there when it happened. You can hear from a woman who was at the mall during the incident in the video below.
Following the incident, Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin addressed the community with the following statement,
Our investigators and officers have worked tirelessly over the past 24 hours to identify, locate, and arrest those responsible for this senseless act of violence. I commend the outstanding work of our Detectives, SWAT Team, Patrol Officers, and our regional law enforcement partners for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to protecting our community.
