5 Easy Baby Costumes You Can Make With Stuff Around the House
Hey parents.
Have you been busy lately? I know I have...
I just have the one little one (7 and a half months old), but that and working and trying to sleep and do laundry and all that jazz makes this mama crazy tired. And, just a little forgetful.
Kids Costumes for Halloween
Even though I've know that Halloween is just around the corner (it's not like it's moved, it's always on the 31st) I still have somehow slacked on a costume for my little one.
I can't be the only person who has somehow forgotten about getting a costume... right?
With that in mind, I went in search of some easy do-it-yourself costumes for your baby that you can make with the stuff you probably have laying around the house.
Easy Baby Costumes You Can Make at Home
Take a look through the 5 costumes below, and maybe you'll be inspired to get crafty this Halloween season.
5. Where's Waldo?
This cute throwback to the fun hide-and-seek style book isn't too hard to nail. You need some jeans, a red and white striped onesie or t-shirt, a red and white hat, and a small pair of round glasses. Don't have something with stripes? You could easily take a solid white onesie and add red marker or fabric to get the desired striped outfit.
4. Baby Sheep
This look can be achieved with a bag of cotton balls and long sleeve onesie and pants that you don't mind getting hot glue on. That simple.
3. Cupcake
Again, we're reaching for that tried and true white long sleeve onesie. From there, grab some different colored markers and a pair of brown, pink, or yellow pants (for the bottom part of the cupcake). From there, use the markers to make sprinkles on the white onesie. Top it off with a red hat for the little cherry on top.
2. Scarecrow
Grab the jean overalls for this one, along with a plaid button down, and a brown hat. Bonus points for a bit of straw to stuff in the pockets.
1. Chicken
This one has to be the easiest, because you don't really have change any of the clothing items you'll need. Grab a long sleeve white onesie, yellow or orange pants, and a red hat.
