Luke Bryan Swears He’s “Never Bringing Cussing Michigan kids” on Stage Again
Country music superstar and American Idol judge Luke Bryan brought his Mind of a Country Boy tour to Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It was an incredible night filled with huge hits, lots of drinks, and dancing all over. But, the highlight of the show came when he stopped to read signs from the crowd.
He stopped on a sign that said it was a girl's first concert, and her mom's birthday, so he invited the 5-year-old named Ella on stage, and that's when adorable chaos ensued.
First he asked what her favorite song was, to which she answered the questionably inappropriate adult song, "Beer in my hand" which tickled the "Play it Again" singer, who asked her to sing along.
And yes, she included the "damn" in the chorus, which sent Luke into a spiral. He told her "You're not supposed to cuss, do your parents let you say that?" without missing a beat, 5-year-old Ella grinned and said "Yep!", which caused a roar of laughter throughout Van Andel Arena.
Luke wrapped up his time with her, saying he wasn't surprised she was from Michigan when she said what song she loved the most, and that he has to stop "bringing these cussing Michigan kids" up on stage.
