You wanted it, and Facebook responds. The "dislike" button will become a reality.

At a town hall meeting on Tuesday, Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg announced that Facebook will be getting a "dislike" button. Originally, Zukerberg didn't want the "dislike" button because he felt that it might cause a Reddit-like environment, but he has come to his senses and the new feature should roll out in the next few days.

I'm looking forward to this "dislike" button because when my friends post heart wrenching events in their lives and pour out their emotions, the worst thing to do is hit the "like" button. Every time I do that, I'm yelling, "No! I don't 'like' that your grandmother died, gah!" I welcome the "dislike" button for those types of posts. But of course, I'm looking forward to using it to be sarcastic as well. Welcome "dislike" button! I can't wait to use you.
