If hamburgers on the grill are part of your Memorial Day menu, please read this.

I.8 million pounds of ground beef from Detroit's Wolverine Packing Company were recently recalled because of a possible E.coli contamination. The recalled products were produced between March 31 and April 18 and were distributed for restaurant and retail use nationwide.

Today, it hits closer to home as we learn that Gordon Food Service locations right here in Michigan have probably received beef that is contaminated with E.coli.

The Centers For Disease Control confirms that there is a link between ground beef from Wolverine Packing and eleven reported cases of illness, five in Michigan.

Symptoms of E.coli include abdominal cramps, bloody diarrhea and dehydration. It can cause complications that may lead to death.
