Last week, I talked about students at Grand Blanc City School who were trying to break a video game world record, while raising funds for Relay for Life. I received an email this morning saying the kids broke the record on Saturday.

The kids invited people to meet on the football field in Grand Blanc and asked everyone who was playing a video game to donate $1 to the American Cancer Society. They needed over 850 people to play video games for 10 minutes. A town in Japan held the current record.

The students persistence paid off because they broke the record! 1,017 people showed up and they raised $1,200 for the the American Cancer Society. They are very excited about their accomplishment and as I said last week, this group is very talented and creative.

Congratulations to our salmon classroom!
