Grand Blanc Police Officers Wrangle Herd of Wayward Cows on Dort Hwy.
If you had to moooooove over on Dorty Highway in Grand Blanc Township on Sunday, you'll understand why. A herd of wayward cows needed assistance getting home.
And if that opening line made you groan a little bit, wait until you get to the comments section.
What Happened in Grand Blanc Township?
A herd of about a half dozen cows got loose Sunday morning and were spotted wandering along Dort Highway right around Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc Township.
Thanks to a little teamwork (and we're assuming a worried-to-death local farmer), the officers were able to get the animals safely back to their pen.
The Grand Blanc Township Police Department posted the picture and tongue-in-cheek post on its Facebook page early Sunday morning.
"Nothing like a little cow wrangling to start the day! This herd was spotted along Dort Hwy., near our PD. Great teamwork got them safely back into their pen without incident!"
Not just an ordinary day at the office.
The Facebook Comments Did Not Disappoint
Lots of folks took the opportunity to chime in on the department's Facebook post. Some were funny, a lot of people were glad there was a happy ending, and of course there was a dose of spam. (SMH) All of these are heavily SIC'd, by the way.
From Angela: They was bringing you some milk to go with your morning coffee and doughnuts.
From Nancy: Who let the cows out?
From Katy: They heard the rodeo was in town…..in Gaines! They both start with “G.”
