Grand Blanc Police Hold 'Shop With a Cop'

Several local businesses and non-profits came together to make this event happen.

On Monday, Grand Blanc police held their annual Shop with a Cop event for local kids.

Barb Smith (who just happens to be our first recipient of Pat & AJ's Holiday Helpers) is the chairperson of FISH in Grand Blanc and has helped to bring this program back after it faded away a few years back. She pairs kids with officers, who then drove them over to Walmart in Grand Blanc to go shopping.

Gift cards were provided through donations - $200 for the kids and $100 for their parents. After shopping, they enjoyed dessert. Aubree's, Walmart and FISH are just some of the local sponsors that make this event possible.
