Grand Blanc Girl Scouts Collecting Book for Kids

It's time to clean out the kids' bookshelves and help some kids in Grand Blanc.

Girl Scout Troop 71330 in Grand Blanc is collecting new and gently used books that will be used to help build a library for students at Atherton Elementary School. The girls, who attend Grand Blanc West Middle School and Woodland Park Academy, are working toward their "Silver Award." Their goal was to identify a need in the community and create a service project to help fulfill that need.

Children's books, books for young adults, and picture books are being collected until February 14th.

Books can be dropped off at Cars 108, 3338 E. Bristol Rd., in Burton. (That's Bristol Rd. between Dort and Center.)
