George Clooney Visits Elderly Fan for her 87th Birthday

You're never too old to have a crush...or to meet them.

Pat Adams got a long-awaited surprise for her 87th birthday. She lives at the Sunrise of Sonning Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in Reading, UK, where they have a "Make A Wish" box. Residents write down their wishes and put them in the box.

Pat's a longtime George Clooney fan, and her wish was to meet him. The workers at the home sent a letter to George, and to everybody's surprise, he showed up unannounced with flowers and a card.

To make it even more special, it was Pat's birthday week. Turns out, George has a house not far from the facility.
