A special election Tuesday in Michigan means voters will decide on several issues including some that will affect school funding.

Voter turnout is expected to be low as many of the ballot issues have not been widely publicized or advertised.

Voters in Genesee County's Thetford Township will elect a Township Clerk who will fulfill a partial term ending on November 11, 2020. The candidates are Cindy Hicks (Dem), Nicole Moore (Rep), Kristal Alexander, Grace Musolf, and Julie Tack.

City of Linden residents will vote on a Mosquito Control Millage Renewal.

Voters in the Birch Run are will vote on a School Sinking Millage Proposal.

In the Carman-Ainsworth school district, voters will decide on the Headlee Override Operating Millage Tax Levy and a Millage proposal regarding the Building and Site Sinking Fund Tax Levy.

A Sinking Fund Millage Renewal Proposal is on the table for voters in the Grand Blanc school district.

Millington Community Schools are deciding on a Sinking Fund Millage Proposal.

An amendment to the Southern Lakes District Charter is being proposed to provide funding for non-motorized recreational pats.
