Saturday, Genesee County Parks attempted to break the world record for the largest Zumba class. The event was held at Bluebell Beach and they needed just over 1,200 people for the attempt. It was a great turnout, but unfortunately they didn't beat the record.

It was a perfect day for Zumba outside and the group danced for an hour, which was one of the requirements for Guiness. If you weren't moving, people would come around and snap your wristband, which meant you had to leave the area. Luckily, everyone kept moving and no one had to leave.

Roughly 400 people showed up for the attempt so they still had a great turnout. Everyone at the Genesee County Parks were happy about the event and pleased that so many people showed up to try to break the record. There's always a chance to win next year.
