Flint Woman Gives Birth After Fighting Off Mugger

After almost getting her purse snatched Thursday, a Flint woman gave birth to a healthy baby later that night.

As she was loading groceries into her car around 1:30 pm, a man grabbed her purse and started running. The woman chased him and confronted him, according to the Flint Journal. The man then pushed her down, but was then confronted by two Good Samaritans, and members of the woman's family. The man was then held by her family until police arrived.

Mark Newton was arrested and charged with one count of unarmed robbery, and the woman gave birth later that night.
