A booze-fueled brawl at a Sandusky, Ohio water park led to the arrest of at least two people from Michigan, one of whom is a woman from Flint. Police arrested 23-year-old Brittany Cabay and her 24-year-old boyfriend Zachary Colzin after the fight broke out at the Kalahari water park.

A third person may also face charges, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Department.

What led to the incident?

It's reported that the fight broke out because someone tried to cut in line for one of the park's water rides.

Sheriff Paul Sigsworth tells Cleveland 19 that there has been an increase in the number of incidents like this at the resort. Most are fueled by alcohol.

“We’ve had too many incidents there that have quite frankly been fueled by overconsumption and abuse of alcohol," he said. “They were both very intoxicated, and they were also combative."

Sigsworth went on to say that Colzin has an outstanding warrant in Michigan. He refused to cooperate with deputies at the scene and had to be Tazed.

He was charged with assault, disorderly conduct while intoxicated, assaulting an officer, and assaulting an EMT.

Brittany Cababy has been arrested for disorderly conduct while being intoxicated.

Reputation for violence

According to Cleveland 19, police records indicate that there have been ten disorderly conduct incidents at Kalahari since the beginning of the year. There have been seven reported assaults and 13 incidents of domestic violence.
