Flint Doctor Issues Warning About Our COVID-19 Numbers

"If we don't act responsibly we will continue to fall behind on this."

Dr. Bobby Mukkamala is a board-certified board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon here in the Flint area.

He was born and raised here in Genesee County; he attended school at Holy Family in Grand Blanc and then Powers Catholic in Flint. He then studied pre-med at the University of Michigan and, after 7 years in Ann Arbor, completed his ENT residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Bobby, as he's known locally, has been an outspoken advocate for Genesee County residents during the pandemic and now, with the second wave taking over local hospitals, he's issuing another warning.

Moments like these I feel like a Parrot, but I think it needs to be shared:
I have gotten 6 messages in the past 6 hours from people that have tested positive for Covid or have been exposed to a known positive case. About ten more over the weekend.
Most feel fine but two are in the hospital.
One of our nurses died........
It's a pain to quarantine, especially when you feel fine.
It's a pain to have to make adjustments at work when people can't show up
BUT if we don't act responsibly we will continue to fall behind on this.
If you're an employee please don't hide your exposure or test results.
If you're an employer please don't take out your frustration on your workers
Our best path forward is taking this on TOGETHER
A vaccine will come, but most of us won't be able to get it for months.
