Flash Flood Warning Issued for Genesee County

Genesee County and Western Lapeer County are under a Flash Flood Warning until 8:30 am.

At 5:37 am, the National Weater Service in Detroit/Pontiac issued a Flash Flood Warning. At 5:35 am, Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. One to three inches of rain have already fallen.

Flash flooding has been reported along I-475 in Mt. Morris Township, and areas that are prone to flooding could quickly become flooded. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving through low-lying areas this morning.
