Five Reasons You Should Join Us at The St. Paddy’s Beer Fest and 1/2K Draft Dash
The St. Paddy's Beer Fest and 1/2K Draft Dash is next Friday, March 16th. We want you to join us for all the green fun, so we made a list of the five reasons you should buy your tickets now.
1. It's on Friday, March 16th
There are two different sides of why this is a great thing. If you hate going out on the "amateur nights" at the bars, and the thought of waiting in line in a packed Irish Pub to get a Guinness stresses you out than this party is for you. We are celebrating St. Paddy's day one day early so you won't have to wait in line forever, or go to multiple different bars to find a place that isn't packed.
On the other hand, if St. Paddy's Day is your holiday and you plan on indulging from morning to night with all things green, we can extend your celebration one more day!
2. You can brag to all your friends about how quickly you finished the race
The 1/2k Draft Dash kicks off the event on March 16th. It is the most dramatic race in Genesee County for sure. The whole race is about one city block and takes all of two minutes to complete. If you choose to run the 1,640 feet to kick off the race, you are rewarded with a free beer at the beer fest. There will also be prizes from Dort Federal Credit Union for the first and last place finishers.
3. We have Irish entertainment and a DJ
You don't want to listen to bagpipes for four hours straight, right? We have Riley McLincha playing all your Irish favorites, and a DJ in the atrium so you can get your dance on after a few beverages.
4. All the beer
It is a beer festival after all. We have over 25 beers for you to sample, and you get 10 sample tickets with your ticket. We, of course, have Irish favorites like Guinness, Guinness Blonde and Smithwithks. We also have Bud and Bud Light, plus some great beers from Founder's, Bell's, Arbor Brewing, Rochester Mills Brewing, Blake's Ciders, Perrin Brewing, and Petoskey Brewing.
5. Look at all the fun you could be having!
This video is from last year's party. Despite the crappy weather, look how happy everyone was celebrating St. Paddy's in Downtown Flint!
Bonus reason: as of right now, the weather looks much better for this year!
