First Place Bank Collecting Items for Local Troops

Are you wondering how you can help support our troops overseas? Starting Wednesday, First Place Bank will be collecting items to send to local troops overseas. You can stop by any branch until June 8 if you would like to help out.

The project is tied into Memorial Day and the soldiers have helped come up with a list of suggested items to drop off. They could be batteries, movies, toothpaste, popcorn or even microwave macaroni and cheese. They also have trail mix, instant coffee and kool-aid on the list of items.

You can also send a donation if you don't have time to buy any products. Or if you're feeling more creative, you could send a letter or make a card because they would really like that. Let's support our local troops and show them how much we appreciate all of their hard work and effort.
