I won't send you on a wild goose chase, making you pore through endless paragraphs just to find out the answer. Michigan's favorite Pop-Tart flavor is Frosted Strawberry.

I think we can do better.

Sure, Frosted Strawberry is a classic Pop-Tarts flavor. But is that really the best choice for us? Couldn't we have put a little more thought into it?

How 'bout Frosted Cherry Pop-Tarts? Yes, Traverse City, I'm looking at you.

Or why not Frosted Chocolate Fudge, Frosted Chocolate Strawberry, or Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae? I mean, seriously - Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae!

Random Pop-Tarts Observations

Although Pop-Tarts were invented in Battle Creek, Michigan, we rank third in the nation (behind New Mexico and Tennessee) for weekly Pop-Tart consumption.

I fully expected Pennsylvania residents would embrace one of the aforementioned chocolate flavors, as Hershey, Pennsylvania is the home of Hershey's Chocolate World, but no. Weird.

Unfrosted - Not Exactly Historically Accurate

Jerry Seinfeld's Netflix comedy about creating the popular breakfast pastry is filled with appearances by comedy greats, but it isn't exactly historically accurate. Bill Post, who is credited with inventing Pop-Tarts in 1964, passed away earlier this year. 

A couple of years ago, as the Grand Rapids native celebrated his 95th birthday, he let us peek into the story behind America's favorite breakfast pastry and how it came to be 60 years ago.
