She didn't quite make it to the bonus round, but a social worker from Detroit got the chance to appear on 'Wheel of Fortune' and cashed in for second place on the show Monday (3/17) night.

Hawanya Jackson-Elliott works with developmentally disabled adults and told Ryan Seacrest that she's an active member of Calvary AME Zion Church in Detroit and has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta for 32 years.

Jackson-Elliott dug in quickly and solved one of the show's opening toss-up puzzles, grabbing a quick $2,000. See if you can solve the puzzle with the letters Hawanya had to work with.

The category for the Triple Toss Up round was thing and Ryan Halsey, another contestant on the show, solved the first toss up:  Billboard.

That clued Huwanya in, and she correctly solved the puzzle above. The answer is 'corkboard.'

Finishing in Second Place

All in all, it was a good night for the Detroit resident. Huwanya cashed in for a total of $4,000 to finish in second place.

She also got to meet Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, and had a TV experience many of us only dream of.

By the way the show's big winner was Ryan Halsey, who walked away with $39,450.

Alex Trebek's beautiful, Studio City, California home just hit the market and it is breathtaking. T

The home is owned by Trebek's widow Jean and his daughter Emily is listing the home through Compass.

The beloved game show host, who passed away in 2020, purchased the home about 25 years ago for $2.5 million and is said to have taken on many DIY projects himself, giving it his own personal touch.
