9-Year-Old Injured After Driver Crashes Into Michigan Home

Terrifying Crash in the Middle of the Night

Just before dawn this morning (Monday, October 13, 2025), a driver who witnesses say was speeding barreled off the road near O’Hare and MacArthur in Center Line and plowed right through a family’s home. Inside, a 9-year-old girl was sound asleep when the car came crashing in. The impact threw her out of her bedroom window and into the yard.

A baby who was just a few feet away somehow wasn’t hurt. But the little girl suffered serious injuries — cuts, bruises, and damage to her ribs and pelvis. She’s stable now and expected to recover, but it’s hard to imagine the trauma she and her family are facing after something so random and terrifying.

Neighbors Shocked by Overnight Chaos

A nearby neighbor told local media:

“We looked out the window and saw that the car had went through the house, and then we saw the little girl laying on the grass.”

Center Line Public Safety Director Paul Myszenski put it perfectly: “Who even thinks about someone driving their car through their house? It just doesn’t happen.” And yet, it did.

Police Investigating Possible Impairment

Police say the driver tried to run after the crash but was arrested shortly after. Investigators are still waiting on toxicology results to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved.
