If you're on the fence about whether or not to attempt base jumping, this video will definitely convince you to leave flying to the birds. A man attempted a base jump off of a cliff, but things took a horrible turn for the worst as he ended up slamming into the rock face multiple times. If that wasn't bad enough, he smacked in to the only rock sticking out of the side of the cliff head on as if he was aiming for it... which was obviously not on his agenda.

The video states that his injuries included a compression fracture of the T12 vertebra, 5 stitches to the eye, 6 stitches to the chin, a severely sprained back, wrist and hand, and multiple bruised areas. Needless to say, he is lucky to be alive. Watch it in slow motion, then again from a different angle at 1:57. At 3:07 you can see how fast it all happened in real time, then at 3:27 see it from the bottom of the cliff.

Now I can scratch Base jumping off my bucket list. Not because I've done it, but because after seeing this video I think I'll pass.
