Baby for Gabby, Billboard Music Awards, & Remembering Kobe: The Dish

Congratulations going out to 'American Idol' alum Gabby Barrett on the birth of her first child. The "I Hope" singer welcomed a baby girl with husband, and fellow 'American Idol' alum, Cade Foehner. Baby Baylah May Foehner entered the world on January 18th. Both mom & baby are doing just fine.The couple met while competing on the reality show back in 2018, and were married in October of 2019.
The Billboard Music Awards are set to air live for 2021. It was announced that this years show will take place on May 23rd. Last years show was moved from the original air date in May to October due to the coronavirus pandemic. No word on whether or not Kelly Clarkston will return as the host. Billboard will announce both host and performers at a later date.
It was exactly one year ago today that the world lost one of the greatest athletes to ever live. NBA legend Kobe Bryant, along with his 13 year old daughter Gianna, died along with seven others in a helicopter crash. They group were passengers together when the helicopter plunged into a hillside in Southern California. Bryant was only 41 years old at the time of the crash. Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant, took to Instagram on the anniversary of her husband and daughters death to remember them. She posted a letter from one of Gianna's friends. To honor Gianna, Vanessa has changed the name from “Mamba Sports Foundation” to the “Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.”
