Japanese equestrian Hiroshi Hoketsu has competed in the Olympic Games before. In 1964. He's been there since then, but who would have thought that at the age of 70, he'd be making another Olympic team. Granted, his horse does most of the work, but Hoketsu last week qualified for the individual dressage competition on Japan's equestrian Olympic team. He will be the oldest Olympian at the London Games, a distinction he also held four years ago at the Beijing Olympics. He'll be riding a 15-year old mare named "Whisper," whom Hoketsu describes as "a little bit old, but still a good age." He should know.
