Michigan History For Sale! $18M Century Old Boyne Homestead

There's history and then there's HISTORY. Randall's Point on Walloon Lake is pure Michigan history. From the moment the property was purchased until today, the century-old homestead in Boyne City has been a family treasure and it's now on the market.

The legendary homestead with a distinct peninsula sits on 15.5 acres with an expansive 2,170 feet of waterfront was purchased by the Randall family back in the 1900s. Patriarch Bo Randall, who would go on to found Randall Made Knives, spent countless hours hunting the property with his good friend Ernest Hemingway according to stories.

Currently offered for $18 million, making it the most expensive property offered in the state, the compound comes with a total of four cabins. Three cabins were built in the 1920s and the main log home was built in the 1970s and went through a major renovation in 2001. Although the original home on the compound burnt down in 1920, the original boathouse and barn still remain.

With a total of 14 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, the property is perfect for large families to enjoy. The main house is modernized with all the extras including a master suite, and a chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a granite island.
