14-Year-Old Girl Invents A ‘Blind Spot Annihilator’ For Cars

Alaina Gassler's Science and Engineering Fair project could potentially save countless lives on the road.

Glassler is only 14, but she created the 'Blind Spot Annihilator' to help get rid of all of the blind spots in cars. She used a webcam to record the blind spots from outside of the car. A projector then shows the live feed inside the car, virtually eliminating the blind spot.

Glassler was one of thousands from all over the country to enter the Science & Engineering Fair. The craziest part about her invention is that she's not even old enough to drive yet! That didn't stop Glassler from inventing something that I bet will be standard in cars very soon.

Glassler was awarded the $25,000 Samueli Foundation Prize. Check out the video of Alaina below talking about her invention.
