Study Questions the Need for Sedation for Colonoscopies

It's something that medical science tells us can save our lives. The preparation is actually worse that the procedure, but now there might be changes coming.

A new study says we are spending too much money on sedation treatments for colonoscopy exams. The rising health care costs for an anesthesiologist to monitor the patient is being considered a "luxury",  says the author of a new study.
