Spring Temperatrures Continued Above Average Trend

It was the mildest winter here that I could ever remember, and if you liked the winter temperatures, you probably loved the spring conditions which again gave us above average temps.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says this spring is the warmest that we have seen since record-keeping began in 1895.

Between March and May we were more than five degrees warmer than normal, averaging just over 57 degrees.

As if that weren’t enough it appears the trend is continuing as the NOAA reports that June 2011 to May 2012 will go down as the warmest year ever.

Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington, DC all saw their highest average temperatures in at least 50 years. And some parts of New York City had temps that haven’t been seen in more than a century.
