Get Ready For EAS Nationwide Test

There will be lots of messages advising people of the test of the Emergency Alert System next Wednesday, but you can bet that somewhere, probably in your city, there will be some panic over the test. Next Wednesday at 2pm, all radio and television stations will conduct a test of the Emergency Alert System. While stations have been running these tests for years, this time they will all do it at the same time.  This has never been done before, and although there will be numerous announcements that, "This Is a Test", there will almost certainly be some confusion. This is the method that the government would use to alert us of imminent danger. Let's see how it works. Remember , next Wednesday at 2pm.
