Flushing Man Running Virtual Boston Marathon for Charity

We LOVE David, and not just because he sold us our carpet from Skaff Furniture Carpet One.

Consider this a public service message from a former runner - you can just sign up for most 5K, 10K, and half-marathon races. Throw the organizers a few bucks and you're in.

The Boston Marathon, on the other hand, is a different story.

Like most big-city marathons, you have to qualify to run it. It's a race that dates back to 1897 and is one of the most illustrious marathons you can take part in. This year, however, it's been sidelined by the pandemic.

That's not stopping Flushing resident and vice president of Skaff Furniture David Smith. This would've been his 7th Boston marathon, and he's going to run it this morning anyway.

He's mapped out a 26.4 mile route from his home and back and will start this morning at 10 AM.
