Last week's flooding forced the postponement of the inaugural Cinco de Mayo 5k run/walk, 10k run from Swartz Creek Golf Course in Flint. Race organizers scrambled to find a replacement date that would work with most runners and have re-scheduled the event for Friday, May 11th at 6:30 pm.

Races will still begin in the Swartz Creek Golf Course/Tavern on the Green parking lot, 1902 Hammerberg Road, Flint. Due to the short amount of time to re-schedule, race organizers are giving runners three options: 1. You can run the race Friday. Corona tastes better on a Friday night anyway. 2. You can rollover your race entry to a different tritofinish.com event. 3. You can rollover your entry to next year's Cinco de Mayo 5k/10k.

If you hadn't signed up for the race before, you get another opportunity to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The first 300 entries get a festive sombrero to run in or wear later while enjoying a cold cerveza.

Get out and get moving!
